St. Clair County, a county older than the state, was officially established in November, 1818 by
the Second Territorial Legislature and was named after General Arthur St. Clair.

 

Requested Items & Donation Drop-Off Information for the Town of Argo Following the January 23, 2012 Storms 

Donations for storm-affected families can be taken to the Argo Town Hall, Argo Fire Department, and the Argo Food Bank. All are located at 100 Blackjack Road in Argo. Donations can be dropped off between 8 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday. If you need to drop off donations after hours, you can call Betty Bradley with the Argo Food Bank. She is willing to meet people at the Food Bank to pick up donations. Her cell phone number is 205-914-4113, and her home phone number is 205-467-3164. Requested donations: bottled water, non-perishable foods, and socks.
